Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Ocean House Management. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of all menu items, ensuring exceptional quality and consistency in every dish.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficient and effective operation of the kitchen.
- Develop and implement menus that meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Coordinate the purchase of all food and beverages, maintaining approved food costs and labor costs.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of all food items, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with staff and management to ensure seamless service and high-quality food presentation.
- Provide coaching and direction to culinary staff for developmental purposes.
- Represent the company with a positive attitude and professional presentation, upholding the company's standards and policies.
- College degree or equivalent work experience in a luxury food and beverage operation.
- Fluency in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy under pressure.
- Uphold the company's standards, policies, and procedures.
- Prioritize and organize tasks and work area.
- Ability to remain calm and resolve problems using good judgment.
- Collaborate cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
- Maintain confidentiality of guest/staff information and pertinent hotel data.
- 1-year previous luxury hotel operations experience preferred.
