Job Summary

Forefront Healthcare & Culinary Services is seeking a skilled Part Time Cook to join our team at one of our hospitals in Grand Rapids, Michigan. As a Part Time Cook, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality culinary services to our patients and residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook meals according to standardized recipes and portioning standards.
  • Monitor food temperatures to ensure quality and safety.
  • Supervise and assist in the storage of supplies and food products.
  • Notify the Director of Culinary of food, supplies, or equipment needs.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of cooking experience in a batch cooking, family-style restaurant, or short order setting.
  • Minimum of 1 year of food service experience in a healthcare dietary setting.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow recipe directions, diet orders, and work assignments.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including during emergency situations.
