About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Project Engineer to join our Facilities team at Howmet Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical engineering services and project management to support production, maintenance, and administrative departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the electrical and controls scope of process improvement, capital expansion, and obsolescence mitigation projects.
  • Coordinate all phases of assigned projects from concept, scope development, written specifications, bid solicitations, related bid meetings, equipment and facilities engineering/design, manufacturing, and installation through final start-up, acceptance and project closure.
  • Assist production and maintenance with various types of equipment and process issues from an engineering perspective with key emphasis on maintaining and improving reliability and productivity of systems with specialized technical expertise in the application and use of automation technology for plant facilities and processes.
  • Provide a higher-level support for all PLC, HMI, and Robotic systems and programming for all PLC/Scada/Database Systems.
  • Maintain accurate records for all automation programs and all changes to these systems.
  • Propose and execute improvements to existing automation systems and processes.
  • Focus on overall safety of facilities equipment and processes including responsibility and oversight of EHS policies.
  • Oversee contractor work and compliance to Howmet Corporation, Federal/State, Environmental, Health and Safety policies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working with electrical systems such as power distribution, PLC's, HMI's, and database systems.
  • Experience with Project Management in a team-based environment.
