Pharmacy Customer Service Representative

Job Description:

As a Pharmacy Customer Service Associate at Walgreens, you will be responsible for delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience. This includes registering sales on assigned cash registers, providing customers with courteous, friendly, and efficient checkout service, and assisting the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy.

Customer Experience:

  • Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
  • Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Model and share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Operations:

  • Provide customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service.
  • Recommend items for sale to customers and recommend trade-up and/or companion items.
  • Register customer purchases on assigned cash registers, collect cash, and distribute change as requested.

Pharmacy Support:

  • Assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining work flow.
  • Process (correct and resubmit) manual claims for third-party program prescription services in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Perform other clerical duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager.

Training & Personal Development:

  • Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated PTCB training program and/or state required certification/registration.
  • Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager or assigned by corporate and acquire continuing education credits.

Requirements:

  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
