Job Responsibilities- Provide High-Quality Patient Care
- Deliver nursing care to patients within your scope of practice, utilizing the nursing process to assess health status, establish a nursing diagnosis, establish nursing goals to meet healthcare needs, and develop, implement, and evaluate a nursing plan of care.
- Assess and triage patients presenting to the healthcare setting, including unscheduled patients, emergencies, and others.
- Evaluate emergency situations and initiate appropriate nursing interventions. Lead the nursing response to medical emergencies.
- Initiate and monitor IV therapy, administration of medications, and other nursing procedures as ordered by the physician or associate practitioner.
- Assist with procedures and monitor patients' responses during and after the procedure.
- Assess patient and family health education needs, provide health teaching and counseling, and evaluate the effectiveness of the education process.
- Lead and Participate in Quality Improvement Activities
- Lead or participate in quality improvement activities and/or initiatives.
- Respond effectively to member/patient concerns.
- Serve as an advocate for the patient.
- Facilitate transitions and coordination of care across the continuum.
- Serve as a role model for quality and service and as a resource, coach, and mentor for other members of the healthcare team.
- Meet Basic Qualifications
- Minimum two (2) years of current RN experience.
- Associates degree.
- Registered Professional Nurse License (Georgia) required at hire.
- Basic Life Support required at hire.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Two (2) years of experience within a defined area.
- Bachelors (BSN) degree.
