Job Responsibilities
  • Provide High-Quality Patient Care
    • Deliver nursing care to patients within your scope of practice, utilizing the nursing process to assess health status, establish a nursing diagnosis, establish nursing goals to meet healthcare needs, and develop, implement, and evaluate a nursing plan of care.
    • Assess and triage patients presenting to the healthcare setting, including unscheduled patients, emergencies, and others.
    • Evaluate emergency situations and initiate appropriate nursing interventions. Lead the nursing response to medical emergencies.
    • Initiate and monitor IV therapy, administration of medications, and other nursing procedures as ordered by the physician or associate practitioner.
    • Assist with procedures and monitor patients' responses during and after the procedure.
    • Assess patient and family health education needs, provide health teaching and counseling, and evaluate the effectiveness of the education process.
  • Lead and Participate in Quality Improvement Activities
    • Lead or participate in quality improvement activities and/or initiatives.
    • Respond effectively to member/patient concerns.
    • Serve as an advocate for the patient.
    • Facilitate transitions and coordination of care across the continuum.
    • Serve as a role model for quality and service and as a resource, coach, and mentor for other members of the healthcare team.
  • Meet Basic Qualifications
    • Minimum two (2) years of current RN experience.
    • Associates degree.
    • Registered Professional Nurse License (Georgia) required at hire.
    • Basic Life Support required at hire.
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Two (2) years of experience within a defined area.
    • Bachelors (BSN) degree.
