Plasma Center Nurse

At BioLife Plasma Services, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Plasma Center Nurse, LPN or LVN to join our team. As a Plasma Center Nurse, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our donors, while also contributing to the collection of high-quality plasma that will become life-changing medicines.
Key Responsibilities:- Determine donor eligibility, including proper management of informed consent, AIDS education, and confidential self-exclusion.
- Evaluate donor reactions, which occur at the facility, and follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies.
- Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs when in need of providing unacceptable findings to donors or guidance concerning medical or technical issues.
- Support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
- Manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER.
- High school diploma or equivalent, including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
- Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: LPN or LVN.
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification.
- Fulfill state requirements (in state of licensure) for basic IV therapy.
- Satisfactorily complete the FDA-approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
- Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
