Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily functions of the automotive service department, focusing on scheduling, staffing, and optimizing workflow.
- Ensure the department operates efficiently and profitably by tracking productivity, managing resources, and controlling costs.
- Recruit, train, and manage service department staff, promoting a positive workplace culture and encouraging professional development.
- Uphold high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring quality service delivery.
- Implement and uphold company policies and procedures regarding safety, quality, and service standards.
- Work in conjunction with the sales team to promote service offerings and enhance customer loyalty.
- Manage inventory and parts procurement to guarantee availability and cost efficiency.
- Stay informed on industry trends and technological advancements to suggest enhancements in service operations.
- Prepare and review departmental reports, budgets, and forecasts for management evaluation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Automotive Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred.
- 5-10 years of experience in automotive service management, demonstrating a successful track record.
- Comprehensive knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair methodologies.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to motivate and guide a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with customers and staff.
- Proficient in computer applications, including automotive service management software.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
