Job Summary

The Mobility Technician is responsible for assisting clinical staff and members of the interprofessional healthcare team, as assigned, under the direct supervision of clinical staff within inpatient settings. This position performs delegated activities that include but are not limited to patient mobility, infection control processes, assisting patients in practicing exercises or functional activities, transporting patients to and from treatment areas, inspecting and maintaining equipment, and a variety of basic clerical functions supporting clinical staff in successful provision of treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clinical staff and members of the interprofessional healthcare team in patient mobility and transportation
  • Perform infection control processes and assist patients in practicing exercises or functional activities
  • Transport patients to and from treatment areas and inspect and maintain equipment
  • Provide basic clerical functions to support clinical staff in successful provision of treatment plans
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Basic Life Support Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI
