About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. As a Surgical Center Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced surgical center environment
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to make sound judgments and prioritize patient needs
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in surgical nursing

Requirements
  • A current state RN license
  • An associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school
  • Two years of nursing experience, preferably in a surgical setting
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification or obtain within 90 days of hire date
  • Current American Heart Association ACLS certification or obtain within six months of hire date
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • The ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
  • Language skills: able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
