Role Responsibilities
The selected candidate will oversee women's health services, with a particular emphasis on pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum care, newborn care, and family planning and gynecological needs. This role involves practicing within the healthcare system and may include consultation, collaborative management, or referrals based on client health status. The candidate will adhere to the Standards for the Practice of Midwifery as established by the American College of Nurse-Midwives. Additionally, the role includes a commitment to the education and training of student nurse midwives, advanced practice providers, medical students, residents, and fellows in clinical settings, with potential opportunities for classroom instruction.

Compensation and Benefits

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Master's degree in Nursing (MSN)
- Active participation in the Certificate Maintenance Program with the American Midwifery Certification Board (or eligibility)
- Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) license with the New Mexico Department of Health (or eligibility)
- Registered Nurse (RN) license with the New Mexico Board of Nursing (or eligibility)
- Experience in teaching adult learners
- Background in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
- Interest in engaging in clinical research
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience in an academic medical center
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, along with experience working with diverse communities
