Position Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable professional in pricing and decision-making to enhance our underwriting division. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of four years of experience in Merchant Cash Advances, with a focus on B-Paper 1st, 2nd, and premium 3rd position transactions. This role requires the ability to utilize data-driven insights while also drawing on experience and intuition to make well-informed decisions. The successful candidate should be adept at managing a high volume of transactions daily and excel in a fast-paced, results-oriented setting. Adaptability and efficiency are key attributes for this position.
Work Schedule:
Candidates should be available Monday through Friday from 9:30 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time, with potential late nights depending on submission volume.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and determine approval or denial decisions for small business applicants.
- Assess the client's repayment capacity through analysis of cash flow statements, tax returns, and other financial documents.
- Conduct comprehensive financial evaluations of small businesses, including trend and ratio analysis, to assess credit quality and cash flow sufficiency.
- Perform additional due diligence as necessary to ascertain the creditworthiness of small business owners.
- Collaborate with Relationship Managers to negotiate credit transactions.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of four years of experience in a B-Paper Merchant Cash Advance or a financial institution that underwrites small businesses.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret individual and corporate financial statements.
- Proficient in spreadsheet and word processing software, particularly Excel and Word.
- A collaborative team player with a proactive approach.
- Detail-oriented with the capacity to thrive under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Effective problem identification and resolution skills.
This position is fully remote.
