Job Title: Configuration Management Engineer

Salado Isolation Mining Contractors is seeking a qualified individual to serve as a Configuration Management Engineer to join our team located in Carlsbad, NM.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will analyze, design, and develop administrative, technical, and engineering work process documents in support of a nuclear operating facility. The candidate will be the back-up of the Master Equipment List (MEL) Administrator, which will require technical oversight and guidance to ensure the MEL of structures, systems, and components is maintained.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and design administrative, technical, and engineering work process documents
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for nuclear operating facilities
  • Provide technical oversight and guidance for the Master Equipment List (MEL) Administrator
  • Assist with completion of and processing of Maintenance Deferral Requests, Periodic Maintenance Identification Forms, and Engineering Services Requests
  • Ensure auditable documentation is maintained
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree with two (2) years of professional experience, or
  • High School Diploma or Equivalency with four (4) years of professional experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in limited circumstances
Preferred Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Scientific and/or technical documentation skills
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills, including the ability to multitask competing priorities
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to learn different software tools and systems
