Nurse Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Treatment Wound Care Nurse to join our team at Diversicare Healthcare Services & Diversicare Ther. This is a regular full-time position located in St. Martin's in the Pines- A Diversicare Transitional Care Community, US-AL-Birmingham.
Responsibilities- Administer prescribed medications orally and by injections, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents.
- Provide treatments to residents per physician orders, maintaining accurate records and reporting any changes in condition.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of medications and controlled substances, adhering to established policies and procedures.
- Observe, record, and report all services provided, including resident reactions to medications and treatments.
- Change in resident's condition will be reported to supervisor and attending physician.
- Signed off that medication and treatments were given/provided, as required by policy.
- Maintain resident's medical record by way of documentation, as required by policy.
- Provide education to residents and families regarding care, promoting understanding and empowerment.
- Assist in planning, supervising, and instructing C.N.T.'s; assign daily work assignments to ensure positive outcomes for residents.
- Implement and maintain policies and procedures, ensuring safe work practices and infection control techniques.
- Current license by the State Board of Nursing, as an R.N. or L.P.N.
- Able to lead and motivate subordinates, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
- Ability to perform a variety of duties characterized by frequent change, adapting to work schedule variations.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with an interest in providing exceptional service.
