About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Treatment Wound Care Nurse to join our team at Diversicare Healthcare Services & Diversicare Ther. This is a regular full-time position located in St. Martin's in the Pines- A Diversicare Transitional Care Community, US-AL-Birmingham.

Responsibilities
  1. Administer prescribed medications orally and by injections, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents.
  2. Provide treatments to residents per physician orders, maintaining accurate records and reporting any changes in condition.
  3. Ensure proper handling and storage of medications and controlled substances, adhering to established policies and procedures.
  4. Observe, record, and report all services provided, including resident reactions to medications and treatments.
  5. Change in resident's condition will be reported to supervisor and attending physician.
  6. Signed off that medication and treatments were given/provided, as required by policy.
  7. Maintain resident's medical record by way of documentation, as required by policy.
  8. Provide education to residents and families regarding care, promoting understanding and empowerment.
  9. Assist in planning, supervising, and instructing C.N.T.'s; assign daily work assignments to ensure positive outcomes for residents.
  10. Implement and maintain policies and procedures, ensuring safe work practices and infection control techniques.
Requirements
  • Current license by the State Board of Nursing, as an R.N. or L.P.N.
  • Able to lead and motivate subordinates, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
  • Ability to perform a variety of duties characterized by frequent change, adapting to work schedule variations.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with an interest in providing exceptional service.
