Job Summary

As a Radiologic Technologist I- Orthopedics at Tidelands Health, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and diagnostic imaging services. This position requires a strong foundation in radiologic technology, with a focus on orthopedic imaging.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform x-rays for diagnostic purposes, adhering to established radiologic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety.

• Educate and prepare patients for their examinations, providing excellent patient care and effective communication.

• Accurately document patient medical records, including documentation of patient medical history before an exam.

• Position patients to demonstrate desired anatomy and determine technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology.

• Assume responsibility for the safety, mental, and physical comfort of patients.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Radiologic Technology Associates degree program or equivalent.

• Minimum one (1) year Rad Tech experience preferred.

• ARRT(R) certified or eligible, with certification required within one year of employment.

• South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association certified required.

Physical Requirements

• Medium Physical Agility Test (PAT) Rating.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, sit, and walk; occasionally to use hands, fingers; and frequently to talk or hear.

• The employee must exert 20 to 35 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 15 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
