The Role:

This is a leadership position reporting directly to the C-suite team, responsible for guiding the construction division's direction and new project opportunities.

  • Oversee all preconstruction processes and manage hiring processes for the preconstruction team.
  • Lead feasibility analysis and risk assessments with the development team.
  • Develop relationships with real estate developers, subcontractors, and new clients in the Chicagoland region.
  • Oversee design stage through construction closeout, reviewing project plans, requirements, and specifications.
  • Develop initial project schedules.
  • Prepare bid packages by reviewing subcontractor quotes.
  • Have knowledge of materials pricing and equipment/labor costs.

Requirements:

  • At least 7 years of experience in multifamily construction in either project management or estimating/preconstruction.
  • Extensive knowledge of preconstruction processes, including estimates and new business opportunities.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, etc.) strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with the Chicago real estate market.
  • Knowledge of local channels and networks for building processes (subcontractors, vendors, contractors, material suppliers, etc.).
  • Travel - less than 25%.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary range: $150,000 - $170,000.
  • Bonus percentage.
