Position Overview

The Lead Financial Analyst will be responsible for a range of tasks aimed at updating and preserving the organization's administrative and financial records.

Key Responsibilities:

- Generate monthly financial reports and audit documentation.
- Submit necessary filings to state and federal authorities.
- Oversee and manage online accounting systems.
- Review financial transactions to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Support the administrative and financial frameworks of the organization.

Core Functions:

- Prepare financial statements for various departments and the organization as a whole.

- Reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries for monthly closings and year-end audits.

- Conduct account analyses and perform additional accounting tasks as required.

- Undertake special projects as directed by the Finance Vice President.

- Manage departmental and organizational budgets, including annual adjustments and inputs. Collaborate with different departments to ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.

- Assist in the preparation for year-end audits, including necessary documentation and statistical data.

- Address various inquiries for information as needed.

- Execute other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.Qualifications:

Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience.

Essential Skills:
- Comprehensive understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.
- Proficiency in bookkeeping and accounting cycle processes.
- Familiarity with procedures applicable to non-profit organizations in Massachusetts.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and computer skills are essential.

Technical Proficiencies:
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and Blackbaud software.


- Ability to perform accurate computations, compile statistical data, and prepare standard reports while adhering to deadlines.

Additional Requirements:


- Strong verbal communication skills, visual acuity for data on written and digital platforms, attention to detail, and manual dexterity for operating office equipment.
