Key Responsibilities
  • Virtual Instruction: Deliver virtual academic instruction to students in a variety of subjects, including English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and World Languages.
  • Lesson Planning: Create and implement lesson plans aligned with the class curriculum, promoting creativity and excitement in the virtual learning environment.
  • Student Engagement: Create strategies to engage and nurture student learning and student relationships, ensuring a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Grade Tracking: Keep track of student grades and performance, providing regular feedback and progress updates.
Requirements
  • Certification: Must be authorized to work in the United States and have a valid New York State public professional teaching certification in any CORE NYS subject.
  • Education: Must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university.
  • Technical Requirements: Laptop or desktop computer, webcam, headset, and reliable internet access.
  • Background Check: Participate in a Virtual Skills Teaching Demonstration + submit a background check as part of the application process.
