Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our Primary Care team at Mercy. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for visits by completing advanced standard room processes, including entering chief complaints, taking vital signs, reviewing patient history and allergies, and completing medication reconciliations.
  • Assist with in-office testing such as drawing blood, completing mental status exams, EKGs, walking oxygen studies, and point-of-care testing.
  • Administer vaccines and injections within the scope of practice.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments as needed, per office policy.
  • Collaborate with providers and clinical care teams to monitor and coordinate delivery of care plans.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Certification: Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Preferred Experience: 6 months of clinical healthcare experience, preferably in a primary care office.
