We are seeking a highly skilled Substation Engineer to join our team at Kiewit Power Engineers. As a key member of our Power Delivery department, you will be responsible for designing and developing substation projects from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement substation design documents and drawings, including one and three-line diagrams, protection and control schematics, and communications diagrams.
- Specify and procure substation equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Apply engineering software to complete tasks such as ground grid design, equipment sizing, relay coordination, and electrical studies.
- Communicate and coordinate project activities with project leads, customer representatives, and other stakeholders.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
- At least 3 years of experience in engineering-related duties.
- Licensed Professional Engineer preferred.
- Knowledge of engineering standards, including NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE, and ANSI.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English.
