The Lead Electrical Systems Engineer will play a crucial role in the design and development of hardware, electronic circuits, and control systems for product enhancements and innovative projects.
This position involves utilizing software tools to conduct routine analyses that forecast the performance of electronic circuits and control systems, while also identifying potential design enhancements through careful evaluation of results.
Engagement in reliability assessments, including risk evaluations and Failure Mode Effects Analysis, is essential, as is collaboration with project leaders to ensure timely project deliverables by accurately assessing input requirements and applying functional specifications. Strong communication skills are vital for fostering relationships and providing innovative solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with at least 3 years of experience. Proficiency in designing electrical and control circuits using Altium is required.
Familiarity with STM32 and ESP32 microcontrollers, as well as NXP-based microprocessors, is preferred. Experience in board layout design utilizing RF modules is essential. Proficient use of various compilers, debuggers, and Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) is expected. Knowledge and hands-on experience with communication protocols such as CAN, MODBUS, and TCP/IP are necessary. Proficiency in C/C++ and Python programming for embedded systems is preferred.
Experience in structured design, code reusability, and best practices for embedded systems is advantageous. Familiarity with data acquisition systems is also preferred.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and develop electrical and control systems.
- Participate in design reviews at all levels, including proposals and standards.
- Analyze customer and product management requirements, contributing to proposal development.
- Investigate and recommend architectural and technological improvements.
- Ensure project tasks are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Verify project tasks against specifications for accuracy.
- Collaborate with other departments as necessary to meet project requirements.
- Provide industry-specific application knowledge and guidance.
- Develop project requirements and design specifications.
- Obtain necessary certifications for new products, including FCC and CE.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
The estimated salary range for this position is $90,000 to $145,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on various factors, including the candidate's experience, skills, knowledge, and job location.
