Role Summary:
The Sanitation team at 8th Avenue is dedicated to ensuring food safety by thoroughly cleaning equipment and facilities within food production and packaging areas, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and industry best practices.
Team members will collaborate to maintain cleanliness in designated areas, ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness of all assigned food production surfaces as per the Master Sanitation Schedule.
- Assist in the cleaning and sanitizing of machinery and equipment as required.
- Conduct environmental testing and adhere to HACCP protocols.
- Follow safety and food safety guidelines, demonstrating good personal hygiene.
- Document daily reports and logs in accordance with company standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
High school diploma or GED equivalent. Availability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as necessary.
Preferred:
Experience in sanitation within food manufacturing or healthcare settings. Familiarity with operating powered industrial trucks (PIT). Ability to work effectively in a team and follow detailed instructions.
Physical Requirements:
Candidates must be capable of lifting up to 55 pounds repeatedly, performing tasks that require reaching, grasping, and repetitive movements. Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including hot, humid, and cold settings.
Compensation:
$16.50+ based on experience. All offers are contingent upon successful completion of a drug screening and background check.
