Position Details:

This role offers a combination of onsite and hybrid work arrangements, requiring a presence in the office a few days each week. We also provide a comprehensive relocation package for eligible candidates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and communicate business objectives, programs, and processes related to Computing Interface Products Systems (CIPS).
  • Utilize your expertise to address challenges, set and achieve goals for yourself and your team, and contribute to both short-term and long-term business strategies.
  • Oversee the design, analysis, and evaluation of assigned projects, ensuring adherence to engineering principles and business standards.
  • Manage System and Subsystem Level Design requirements effectively.
  • Define and maintain interfaces with all subsystems to align with the overall system solution.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering Project Manager to create and implement design review processes.
  • Establish System Validation Plans, conduct System Validation Testing, and work closely with Test Engineers to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Participate actively in technical and program reviews as a presenter or reviewer.
  • Take ownership of technical concepts, solutions, risk mitigation strategies, and engineering cost estimates for proposals.
  • Stay informed about technical trends to ensure high-quality outcomes and responsiveness to customer needs.
  • Facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration across software, hardware, testing, safety, maintainability, reliability, and certification teams to ensure project success.
  • Provide timely updates on significant issues or developments.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in design, implementation, integration, testing, and verification, particularly in Avionics Engineering Systems or Electrical Design.
  • This position requires access to technical data subject to U.S. Government contract restrictions; therefore, it is only open to U.S. Citizens.
Desired Skills:
  • Proactive self-starter with the ability to lead with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with systems such as A664, ARINC429, A629, and others.
  • Background in System Design and Validation involving Microprocessors and Data Concentration.
  • Hands-on experience with test equipment and data manipulation tools.
  • Knowledge of Avionics Systems and Aerospace Operating Practices.
  • Ability to translate customer requirements into software application development.
  • Familiarity with DOORs Next Gen Requirements Management Tools and System Testing Processes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships.
  • Experience in managing or designing within an Avionics Design Assurance Level A Environment.
  • Possession of an active passport is preferred.
