Customer Service Representative

Join our team at the Department of Campus Recreation as a Customer Service Representative at the Intramural Building. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating a positive first impression for our customers, providing exceptional customer service, and assisting with sales and program registrations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers and provide information on Campus Recreation program areas or direct them to appropriate staff.
  • Assist with answering telephones and enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Provide information campus-wide at informational tabling events, as needed.
  • Attend staff meetings and maintain professionalism at all times.

Requirements:

  • Penn State student status.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Team player willing to cover or trade shifts when necessary.
  • Ability to work days, evenings, and weekends, as necessary.
  • Familiarity with cash handling/sales procedures is preferred.

About Campus Recreation:

Campus Recreation is a department within Student Affairs that provides fitness, wellness, and recreational programs to the campus community through the operation and administration of the Intramural Building, the McCoy Natatorium, the Stone Valley Outdoor Recreation Area, and other facilities.
