Job Title: Controller

Emerald Youth Foundation is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Controller to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the full cycle of accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day financial activities of the enterprise, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of financial information.
  • Participate in the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
  • Drive the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Manage cash flow, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial insights and recommendations.
  • Manage preparation for annual audits, providing necessary documentation.
  • Collaborate with management team to ensure alignment of financial processes with organizational goals and initiatives.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues within financial reports and transactions promptly.
  • Stay informed about changes in financial regulations and legislation that may impact the organization.
  • Continually seek ways to improve processes and increase efficiency within the department.

Requirements:

  • Dedicated Christian with clear knowledge of the Gospel and a passion for the mission of Emerald Youth Foundation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in accounting roles, including payroll, AR, AP, and GL.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft 365 tools.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
