Software Engineer I

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer I to join our Cryptographic Security team at Mastercard. As a member of this team, you will design, build, and support service platforms that provide cryptographic and key management functions utilized by global Mastercard application teams.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, design, and develop technical solutions that meet business requirements in adherence with Mastercard standards, processes, and best practices.
- Develop and maintain high-quality code, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
- Participate in rotational on-call support for escalated issues and manage resolution for complex issues within the functional area of expertise.
- Collaborate with Architects and Technical Leads on solution designs and mentor junior Software Engineers.
- Stay up-to-date with industry standard cryptographic algorithms and ensure their effective application in the development process.
- Expert understanding of software engineering concepts and methodologies.
- Extensive experience developing and supporting shared web service platforms, including SOAP and RESTful APIs.
- Proficiency in one of the following languages: C, C++, Rust, or Java.
- Familiarity with Information Security-related concepts, including Cryptography, Hardware Security Modules, PKCS11, and TEE.
- Highly motivated and proactive individual with excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience, and other qualifications for the role, and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
