Job Title: Med Surgical Registered Nurse

At Taylor Hospital, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Med Surgical Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Med Surgical Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient-centered care by coordinating patient care and working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team, patients, and families.

Responsibilities:
  • Assessing Patients: Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their physical, emotional, and social needs.
  • Developing Individualized Plans of Care: Create personalized plans of care that address the unique needs of each patient.
  • Following Five Medication Rights: Ensure that medications are administered safely and effectively.
  • Performing Patient Care: Provide direct patient care, including vital sign checks, wound care, and other treatments as needed.
  • Equipment Utilization: Operate and maintain medical equipment, including IV pumps, ventilators, and other devices.
  • Documenting Nursing Process: Accurately document patient information, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
  • Communicating with Physicians: Collaborate with physicians to ensure that patient care is coordinated and effective.
Requirements:
  • Current PA RN License: Possess a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Pennsylvania.
  • BSN Preferred: A Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree is preferred, but not required.
  • BCLS Certification: Possess current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Mandated and Permissive Reporter Training: Complete mandated and permissive reporter training.
