We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to join our team at Health First. As a key member of our Executive Management Staff, you will be responsible for leading our Medical Staff and ensuring the highest quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Medical Staff and ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Collaborate with hospital leadership to develop and implement strategic plans for medical staff development and quality improvement.
- Provide guidance and support to medical staff members to ensure they meet the highest standards of care.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with medical staff members, hospital leadership, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure that medical staff members are aware of and comply with hospital policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the highest quality patient care.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Develop and maintain effective communication with medical staff members, hospital leadership, and other stakeholders.
- Must be licensed to practice medicine in Florida and certified in a specialty by a member of the American Board of Medical Specialties or an American Osteopathic Association Specialty Certifying Board.
- Must meet the criteria to be an Active Staff member at least one Community Hospital Medical Staff.
- Must have two-to-three years of previous Medical Staff leadership experience or other comparable broad knowledge and exposure to Medical-Administrative activities.
- Must have actively practiced medicine in his/her specialty for a minimum of five years.
- Must have excellent rapport with physicians and members of management.
- Must have clear and effective oral and written communication skills.
- Must have an historical track record of effectively dealing with conflict and discipline in an effective manner.
