Position Overview:

This role involves a customer-facing, post-sales Associate-level position within the Engineering Services Department. The Associate Solutions Engineer will assist clients throughout their integration process, ensuring their continued success.

From the initial project kickoff to the go-live phase, the solutions engineer will serve as the primary technical resource, ensuring that equipment and engineering services are executed as smoothly as possible.

Through scheduled support sessions and Test and Tune Ups, the associate solutions engineer will implement approved tailored solutions, develop comprehensive implementation and testing plans, and provide best practices for their integrations.

The associate engineer will also be responsible for production support, handling network and security change requests, and performing advanced troubleshooting in collaboration with customers and vendors.

Additionally, the associate engineer will work alongside mid-level and senior engineers in the design, configuration, and support of all products and services provided to clients.

Responsibilities:
Support the Production Engineering Department across all operational areas, including production support, release management, vulnerability management, and other assigned tasks to ensure effective delivery and operations for both internal and external clients.

Engage in all phases of Production Engineering for Network and Security service offerings—design, documentation, configuration, testing, maintenance, and providing issue resolution recommendations for moderately complex security solutions related to networking, cloud, authentication and directory services, email, internet, applications, and endpoint security.

Configuration and management of security applications, tools, software, and controls.

Provide network and security consulting on medium-scale projects to ensure compliance with information security policies and standards.

Participate in security audits and assist in evidence gathering for various certifications, frameworks, and clients.

Identify security vulnerabilities, conduct risk assessments, and evaluate remediation alternatives.

Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve objectives.

Ensure timely delivery and documentation of services using ticket tracking systems.


Work closely with field technicians, network personnel, and carrier provisioning teams regarding implementation, service delivery, product management, continuity, and incident resolution.

Maintain regular customer information updates.

Assist with any additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:


Ability to communicate effectively with individuals using strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating proper use of the English language.

Customer-oriented with strong customer service skills.

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in advanced IT and/or Network Support.

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience and knowledge of TCP/IP.

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience implementing and troubleshooting broadband cable and DSL, as well as traditional telecommunication services.

Basic experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, SonicWALL, or other industry firewall/routing devices is required (Extensive Palo Alto Experience Preferred).

Experience with IP Routing and Firewall Configurations at an administrative level is necessary.

Familiarity with BGP, VPN, GRE, DMVPN, and IPV6 is advantageous.

Must possess or be pursuing Security+, CCNA, or other equivalent industry certifications.

Required to pass a written test during the interview process.

Ability to learn foundational programming and Linux OS functions, including C, PHP, Bash, HTML, Postgres, Perl, JavaScript, AWK, Ansible.

Military experience is a plus. Telecommunications experience is beneficial. Project coordination or management experience is an advantage.
