Overview

CommonSpirit Health Mountain Region is seeking a skilled RN to join our team on the 6th Floor Medical Surgical department at St. Anthony Hospital. This dynamic unit specializes in trauma, surgery, and oncology, providing a fast-paced and challenging environment for nurses to grow and develop their skills.

As a RN on this team, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients, from trauma patients with blunt abdominal/chest traumas to those requiring abdominal surgeries, including appendectomies, colon resections, and hernia repairs. You will also have the chance to care for cancer patients, administering chemotherapy and treating neutropenics.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, prioritizing the needs of each patient and working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and goals of each patient.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
Requirements
  • Current RN license in good standing.
  • One year of experience in a medical surgical or trauma/surgery setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care.

Pay and Shift

The pay range for this position is $33.15 to $57.93 per hour, with a $10 per hour weekend option differential for Saturday and Sunday shifts. You will work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and overnights, with opportunities for overtime and professional growth.
