Assembly Welder

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Welder to join our team at Forum Energy Technologies. As an Assembly Welder, you will be responsible for assembling and repairing various types of oilfield products, including skidded packages, using a range of welding techniques and equipment.

• Assemble multiple components into completed skidded packages
• Select fabrication equipment and plan layout, assembly, and welding procedures
• Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure in position for welding
• Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts
• Assemble piping on skidded vessels, threaded/non-threaded
• Measure and pipe wrench threaded pipe
• Set-up and run RT & UT Quality Vessel Weld Processes - 3 (GMAW, FCAW, GTAW)
• Set-up and run RT Quality Pipe Weld
• Set-up and run UT Quality Nozzle Welds
• Set-up and run Carbon Arc Gouging
• Able to make any UT or RT Weld Repair
• Clean and stamp all welds
• Set-up and run all structural non-code welds
• Know how to run all welding equipment
• Ability to read drawings, WPS's/PQR's
• Knowledge of PT, MT, UT, RT methods
• Ability to make correct decisions
• Speed of accomplishing tasks
• Ability to work safely

• High School Diploma or equivalent diploma
• Successful completion of welding tests and qualifications
• 6+ months of welding experience preferred
