About the Role:

CMTA, a Legence company, is a leading engineering firm with a strong presence in the U.S. We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Administrator to join our team in the Richmond, VA office.

This position will be responsible for managing project specifications, overseeing contract and construction documents, and ensuring compliance with project contract language, current code requirements, and current manufacturer information.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in construction administration within the Architectural, Engineering, or Construction field and be knowledgeable of CSI MasterFormat.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Participating in the creation and maintenance of specification masters
  • Overseeing the development of project specifications involving multiple design team members
  • Reviewing, formatting, and editing project specifications
  • Providing office-wide support for all specification needs
  • Coordinating specification templates, formats, and schedules with clients
  • Overseeing bid document production and schedules for "Prime" projects
  • Ensuring compliance with project contract language, current code requirements, and current manufacturer information
  • Distributing and coordinating design documents with state and local review agencies
  • Coordinating project bid activities, including addenda, bid document distribution, scheduling, project contracts, etc.
  • Assisting with construction administration document processing activities, including shop drawings, RFIs, change orders, pay applications, and closeout documents

The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of the processes involved in project specifications, including coordination with Design Review Agencies, Addenda, Bidding Processes, Shop Drawing Reviews, RFIs, Construction Administration, Change Orders, Pay Applications, and Closeout Documentation.
