Senior Construction Manager

Kokosing, one of America's 60 largest General Contractors, seeks a seasoned professional to lead its heavy civil infrastructure federal contracts. This role requires a strategic thinker with extensive knowledge of construction, design, finance, and management.
The ideal candidate will possess a 4-year Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management and 10+ years of experience in a self-performing general contractor role. They will be responsible for providing overall management direction, ensuring project goals are accomplished within prescribed time frames and funding parameters.
The scope of this role may include leading a single mega project or a group of projects in a specific market segment, using varied contract procurement methodologies. The candidate will initially travel throughout the region, but likely will settle in the mid-Atlantic territory long term.
Key responsibilities include scheduling, planning, and coordinating personnel, equipment, and materials for sitework and underground work. The candidate will also review line drawings, identify conflicts, and orientate new trades. They will lead SIPS and OHA's on designated site/UG items and coordinate future layout needs.
The ideal candidate will have superior communication and interpersonal skills, significant business acumen, and the ability to build trust and achieve results with clients and company team members. They will also be able to plan strategically over the entire span of a project and foresee and mitigate obstacles to performance.
