Diesel Technician II

Cox Automotive is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician II to join our team. As a key member of our Fleet Services team, you will be responsible for performing certified DOT inspections, preventative maintenance inspections, and repairs on various types of truck equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform minor adjustments and repairs on electrical, brake, and cooling systems, as well as starters, alternators, and fan clutches.
- Participate in regularly scheduled safety training and maintain a culture of safety and compliance.
- Document work performed, parts used, and findings observed on repair orders using company-issued devices and proprietary applications.
- Communicate with management, team members, and dispatch via Microsoft Office products and other communication methods.
- Perform all work in compliance with organizational safety, health, and environmental policies, as well as federal regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid driver's license and meet Cox Automotive Mobility minimum driving qualification standards.
- Valid DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain one prior to employment or within 72 hours of hire.
- Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a power technician on medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair or equivalent combination of technical education/certifications/skill/experiences.
