Embedded Hardware Engineer - Wearable/IoT Innovation

Nexus Semiconductor is seeking talented Embedded Hardware Engineers to develop groundbreaking wearable and IoT devices. Design, build, and test cutting-edge hardware with a new wireless technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • End-to-End Hardware Development: Take ownership of the entire design process, from concept to launch, for embedded systems combining electronics, mechanics, optics, and software.
  • Circuit Design & Prototyping: Build schematics, complete board layouts, assemble, test, debug, and integrate designs into opto-electro-mechanical systems.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including industrial design, architecture, product design, NPI, research, and supply chain.
  • Component Selection: Specify and source components, and adapt vendor referenced designs into custom solutions.
Requirements:
  • Education: BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • GPA: 3.8+ GPA (for recent graduates) or demonstrated experience developing hobby or industrial hardware (IoT or wearable).
  • Passion for Hardware: A genuine interest in working in a dynamic and fast-paced startup environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • PCB Design: Experience with 4-layer PCB design.
  • Collaboration: Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with embedded devices, low-power circuit design, audio circuits, analog design, processor architecture, digital circuit design, communication protocols (I2C, UART, SPI, USB, etc.), mixed-signal board-level design, RF technologies, schematic capture, PCB layout, cameras, optical systems, and Android/Linux systems.
