Overview:
Nemours Children's Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pediatric Intensive Care (PICU) nurse to join our team in Wilmington, DE. As a PICU nurse at Nemours Children's Hospital, Delaware, you will be part of a 24-bed unit in a Level 1 Trauma Center, providing care to critically ill patients with diverse medical conditions.
Responsibilities:
As a PICU nurse, your primary responsibility will be to provide high-quality patient care, utilizing advanced life support technology, including measures such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation, tracheal intubation, ECMO, pharmacologic support of circulation, mechanical ventilation, point-of-care monitoring, CRRT, thoracentesis, and hemodynamic, intracranial pressure, and intravascular monitoring.
You will work closely with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, prioritizing the needs of each patient based on their unique condition and medical history.
Requirements:
To be eligible for this role, you must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, preferably with a BSN degree. At least 2 years of experience as a pediatric intensive care nurse is preferred, along with a current registration or eligibility for Delaware State Board of Nursing licensure.
CPR certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory, and PALS & ACLS certifications are highly valued. Holding a CCRN certification is also desirable.

The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $120,000, reflecting the level of expertise required and the competitive market rate for PICU nurses in the Wilmington, DE area.
