POSITION SUMMARY

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a secure environment by observing pool activities and enforcing safety regulations.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, providing lifesaving assistance as per American Red Cross standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the pool area to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to keep the pool and surrounding areas clean and safe.
  • Monitor chemical levels in the pool, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and report any incidents or safety concerns.

Additional Duties

  • Foster positive relationships with patrons by recognizing their preferences and routines.
  • Stay informed about company policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Assist in training and covering for colleagues as needed.
  • Document any incidents or first aid responses accurately.
  • Maintain cleanliness of pool fixtures and surroundings.
  • Keep a detailed log of pool usage and attendance.

Qualifications

  • Valid American Red Cross Lifeguard certification or equivalent.
  • Current CPR certification from a recognized provider.

  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate self-motivation.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic understanding of pool chemical management.
