Pool Safety Attendant

Position Title: Lifeguard

Key ResponsibilitiesThe Lifeguard at Iowa Sports Management Inc. plays a crucial role in ensuring a secure atmosphere in and around the aquatic facilities. The primary duties include:
- Safety Monitoring: Vigilantly observe all pool users to ensure compliance with safety regulations and respond to emergencies with promptness and professionalism.
- Rule Enforcement: Uphold all aquatic facility rules and policies to maintain a safe environment for patrons.
- Lifesaving Duties: Execute lifesaving techniques as per American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification standards, including administering first aid and CPR when necessary.
- Maintenance Tasks: Conduct routine maintenance of the pool area, including cleaning, chemical monitoring, and ensuring the overall cleanliness and safety of the facility.
- Identify and report potential safety hazards.
- Engage with patrons to enhance their experience and familiarity with the facility.
- Document incidents and maintain logs of pool usage and attendance.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required.
- Valid American Red Cross Lifeguard certification or equivalent.
- Current CPR certification from a recognized organization.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English for safety and emergency situations.
- Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of pool maintenance and chemical management.
