We are currently seeking a Drop Bury Technician to support our operations. This role involves the operation of equipment for locating and burying drop cables, as well as identifying and marking existing underground infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately identify and mark existing underground cables as instructed
  • Determine and mark locations for new cable installations
  • Operate drop bury equipment within designated areas
  • Assist field personnel and clients with various tasks
  • Conduct quality assurance checks and maintain accurate documentation
  • Utilize appropriate safety gear, including hard hats and safety vests
  • Comply with company safety standards and OSHA regulations
  • Safely operate company vehicles and perform routine maintenance
  • Navigate vehicles and trailers in construction zones and parking areas
  • Uphold customer privacy in accordance with company policies
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Experience with coaxial and fiber drop bury techniques, including rod and missile boring
  • Flexibility to work various schedules, including evenings and weekends
  • Effective communication skills for interaction with clients and team members
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Willingness to travel overnight as necessary
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions
  • Capable of working in diverse environments and weather conditions
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Successful completion of pre-employment screenings
