Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Dunmore International Corp. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facilities, equipment, and utility systems. This is a critical role that requires a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the safe operation of equipment, facilities, and utility systems by following regulatory compliance and company safety practices.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and modifications to equipment and facilities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues using electrical testing equipment and precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Repair or modify equipment by welding or soldering, as required.
- Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock levels, anticipating needs, and expediting orders.
- Support the maintenance program by performing light carpentry and plumbing tasks, completing preventive maintenance schedules, and making repairs.
- Provide mechanical maintenance information by updating and maintaining the maintenance request system and acting as a resource for related topics.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and resolve issues promptly.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional technical school experience and certifications preferred.
- At least five (5) years of related maintenance experience in a manufacturing facility, repairing and maintaining a variety of manufacturing equipment.
- Welding certification preferred but not required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
The Maintenance Technician will work in a manufacturing environment, with occasional travel required. The position may involve working at heights, in confined spaces, and with hazardous materials. The successful candidate must be able to lift 50+ pounds and work in a variety of temperatures and environments.
