Position Overview

The Surgical Technologist plays a crucial role in the operating room by ensuring the preparation and maintenance of sterile instruments and supplies for surgical procedures. This position requires a commitment to excellence and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and organize sterile supplies and instruments for each surgical procedure.
  • Maintain a sterile field throughout the surgical process.
  • Assist the surgical team by providing necessary instruments and supplies during operations.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; relevant experience is essential.
  • Completion of an Operating Room Technician training program or equivalent on-the-job training with a minimum of three years in a surgical setting.
  • Experience in scrubbing for both minor and major surgical procedures across various specialties, including but not limited to GYN, General Surgery, and Plastics.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required upon hire and must be maintained.
