Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior RF Electrical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the development of RF systems, including AESA, digital beam forming, and analog beam forming systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of RF systems, including AESA, digital beam forming, and analog beam forming systems.
- Develop and implement procedures for calibrating multiple communication systems in RF Anechoic chambers.
- Work with engineering fellows to design RF architectures that meet customer system requirements.
- Act as Control Account Manager (CAM), owning the RF team's budget and schedule for a given project.
- Lead laboratory integration of hardware, software, and firmware, and demonstrate to customers.
- Complete Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) block diagrams, component identification, circuit simulation, schematic capture, board layout, and fab in Altium, HFSS, Spice, Geneys, HyperLynx, and Visio.
- Work with facilities to relocate mmWave Anechoic test chambers and expand test capability to Ka-band.
- Manage suppliers through PWB fabrication, CCA assembly, and coordinate with the supply chain to ensure timely completion of Purchase Orders.
- Manage other engineers and technicians in the lab.
- Perform make vs buy analysis for optimal solutions.
Requirements
- Four-year college degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline, plus a minimum of five years related experience, or a master's degree with three years of experience.
- Experience in RF design, laboratory testing, AESA, digital beam forming, analog beam forming, antenna measurements, and implementing firmware to adjust RF performance.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to use personal computer software such as MATLAB and Altium.
- Mental ability to perform engineering problem-solving and analytical tasks.
- Must be able to work under project deadlines and associated cost and schedule constraints.
- Must be a United States Citizen.
- Existing Security Clearance, or ability to obtain one.
