Description:
We are seeking a caring and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide excellent direct care to our residents on a daily basis. The incumbent will perform assigned nursing procedures for the comfort and well-being of residents, including assisting with activities of daily living, administering medications, and supervising non-licensed nursing staff.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to residents, including administering medications, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Supervise and train non-licensed nursing staff to ensure high-quality care.
- Participate in the evaluation of non-licensed staff and provide feedback for improvement.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Ensure a safe and secure working environment, free from hazards and risks.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident care and treatment.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and industry developments.
Requirements:
- Valid Florida nursing license
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to two years related experience and/or training
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
