Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Surgical Technology Faculty member to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the Surgical Technology program, as well as contributing to the development and implementation of curriculum and assessment strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach and mentor students in the Surgical Technology program, utilizing a variety of instructional strategies and technologies to engage and support student learning.
  • Develop and implement curriculum and assessment strategies that align with the program's learning outcomes and accreditation standards.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of program policies and procedures, as well as participate in departmental and college-wide initiatives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment, and provide support and guidance to students as needed.
  • Stay current with industry developments and best practices in Surgical Technology, and incorporate this knowledge into teaching and curriculum development.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Surgical Technology or a related field, or a bachelor's degree with significant experience in the field.
  • Current certification in Surgical Technology, such as CST or CRT.
  • At least three years of experience in Surgical Technology, with a strong background in teaching and curriculum development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
