Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee multiple communities and builders, ensuring quality construction, customer satisfaction, adherence to project timelines, and community aesthetics.
  • Engage in the selection of subcontractors and ensure compliance with building codes, plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Lead a team responsible for coordinating schedules, inspections, and resolving customer service and production challenges.
  • Supervise Builders within designated geographic areas of the Division.
  • Provide technical expertise and coaching to team members, conducting performance assessments.
  • Mentor Builders, Assistant Builders, and Construction Interns.
  • Deliver training on Mattamy's Builder Training modules for the Division.
  • Educate team members on construction processes, serving as a technical authority in various construction phases.
  • Understand customer satisfaction metrics and possess strong interpersonal skills.
  • Act as a safety representative, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and managing emergency responses.
  • Monitor construction progress, including subcontractor activities, material delivery, and equipment usage.
  • Acquire and manage necessary permits and licenses as required.
  • Guide employees on subcontractor relations, design specifications, safety, quality control, production schedules, and company policies.
  • Participate in weekly production meetings to address workflow, quality, and performance improvements.
  • Review site plans and blueprints to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Control production costs through oversight of time sheets, construction payments, and bonuses.
  • Analyze reports related to costs and budgets, developing strategies to address any financial discrepancies.
  • Possess knowledge in estimating and negotiation.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical training combined with 7 years of relevant experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of management practices and leadership skills to effectively manage daily operations.
  • Experience in the residential construction industry is essential.
  • Preferred experience of at least 2 years with Build Pro by Hyphen Solutions.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple significant activities.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret and evaluate information related to construction processes and customer service.
  • Decisive problem-solving abilities to navigate various courses of action.
  • Customer service-oriented with exceptional leadership and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with diverse stakeholders.
  • 10 Hour OSHA certification required.
  • SWPPP certification preferred.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License and be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing, and working outdoors.
