Job Description

We are seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to oversee Golden Valley High School outreach programs, provide coverage during practices and events, and offer training room hours.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with athletes and possess the skills necessary to prevent, assess, and treat a variety of injuries.

Responsibilities
  • Provide coverage during practices and events at local high schools, ensuring the safety and well-being of athletes.
  • Assess and treat emergency, acute, and chronic injuries in accordance with best practices and protocols.
  • Develop and implement reconditioning programs to help athletes and active individuals recover from injuries and prevent recurrence.
  • Build and maintain working relationships with area schools and industries to provide offsite outreach specialty programs.
  • Act as a liaison between the hospital, athletes, parents, coaches, school administration, and supervising physician, coordinating care and referrals as needed.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for athletes and active individuals.
Certification and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited CAATE program.
  • Current BOC Athletic Trainer certification. 1 year of experience in the high school or college setting preferred.
