The Athletic Trainer will be responsible for overseeing Golden Valley High School outreach programs, providing coverage during practices and events, and offering training room hours. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with athletes and possess the skills necessary to prevent, assess, and treat a variety of injuries. If you are a passionate and dedicated Athletic Trainer looking to make a positive impact in the lives of athletes and active individuals, we encourage you to apply   Responsibilities: - Provide coverage during practices and events at local high schools, ensuring the safety and well-being of athletes. - Assess and treat emergency, acute, and chronic injuries in accordance with best practices and protocols. - Develop and implement reconditioning programs to help athletes and active individuals recover from injuries and prevent recurrence. - Build and maintain working relationships with area schools and industries to provide offsite outreach specialty programs. - Act as a liaison between the hospital, athletes, parents, coaches, school administration, and supervising physician, coordinating care and referrals as needed. - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for athletes and active individuals. Certification and Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree from an accredited CAATE program. - Current BOC Athletic Trainer certification. - 1 year of experience in the high school or college setting preferred. Position:  Certified Athletic Trainer Status: Full-time Location: Santa Clarita CA. Pay: $32 - $41 per hour Responsibilities (Text Only): Essential Functions of the Athletic Trainer Role: - Prescribe routine and corrective exercises to strengthen muscles - Render first aid to injured players such as artificial respiration, cleaning and bandaging wounds, and applying heat and cold to promote healing - Communicate with coaches, parents, clinical team, physician team and expanded healthcare team as needed - Treat chronic minor injuries and related disabilities to maintain athletes’ performance Qualifications (Text Only): Experience and Skills Required: - Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from an accredited four-year college or university required - Unrestricted Athletic Trainer (ATC) licensure to practice in State of employment - 1-2 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and training preferred.
