Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Operations Manager to join our team at Everidge. As an Assistant Plant Manager, you will play a critical role in coordinating and directing production activities to meet company goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Production Coordination: Coordinate production activities for hourly employees and related salaried staff to ensure all manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Labor Management: Control and minimize labor overtime to optimize production efficiency.
  • Production Scheduling: Maintain production schedules and quality standards to ensure seamless production flow.
  • MRP System Utilization: Ensure effective utilization of the MRP system throughout the production process.
  • Problem-Solving: Recognize and solve problems affecting production, quality, safety, and productivity.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Apply Lean Manufacturing tools, including 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Poke Yoke, VA/VE, to promote a continuous improvement culture.
  • Industrial Engineering: Apply Industrial Engineering tools, including Work Element Measurement, Process Flow, to optimize production processes.
  • Employee Development: Minimize employee turnover through effective hiring and coaching practices.
  • Culture Development: Foster a culture of empowerment, engaging all levels of employees in achieving company goals.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Help implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs, making recommendations for facilities and equipment as needed.
  • Shop Floor Organization: Incorporate shop floor organization and plant cleanliness among plant personnel.
  • Leadership and Communication: Provide effective direction, development, performance management, and leadership to production employees and leadership positions within your reporting line.
  • Safety Initiatives: Actively engage in all Safety initiatives to meet or exceed EH&S goals and plans.
Qualifications:
  • Education: BSIE or BSME or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in manufacturing methods, process improvement programs, and procedures.
  • Supervisory Experience: Minimum 5 years in supervisor/management position.
  • MRP System Expertise: Strong background in MRP systems, including expertise with Material Bills, Routings, and Work Standards.
  • Lean Manufacturing Training: Proven success in large-scale process improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment and cross-functional teams.
  • Communication and Leadership Skills: Exceptional communication and proven leadership skills.
