IT Specialist

The U.S. Department of Health & Human Services is seeking an experienced IT Specialist to join our team. As an IT Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our computer systems, providing technical support to staff, and ensuring the security of our data.

• Manage and maintain computer systems, including hardware and software
• Provide technical support to staff, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
• Ensure the security of our data, including implementing and maintaining security protocols and procedures
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operation of computer systems
• Develop and implement plans to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of computer systems

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• At least 1 year of experience in IT, including experience in data management, technical support, and cybersecurity
• Knowledge of computer systems, including hardware and software
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Experience with data analytics and business intelligence
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and regulations
• Experience with project management and coordination

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. The selected candidate will be required to work independently and as part of a team, and to communicate effectively with staff at all levels.
