Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Procedure Scheduler to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule patient procedures efficiently, ensuring optimal use of resources and minimizing wait times.
  • Communicate with patients to confirm appointments and provide necessary pre-procedure instructions, ensuring they are well-prepared for their procedures.
  • Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to coordinate procedure times and resources, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Maintain accurate records of scheduled procedures and patient information in the electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Address patient inquiries regarding scheduling, procedures, and insurance verification, providing timely and accurate responses.
  • Follow up with patients to confirm attendance and gather any required documentation, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed to support the office, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in scheduling or a medical office environment is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of gastroenterology procedures is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, physicians, and nursing staff.
  • Proficient in EHR systems and able to learn new software quickly.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on attention to detail and accuracy.
