School Speech and Language Specialist

Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential services in a school setting. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about enhancing the communication skills of students and making a significant impact on their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate student needs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Perform thorough evaluations to track progress
- Collaborate effectively with Special Education staff and other professionals
- Manage a K-12 caseload, tailored to the needs of the school
Qualifications
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in speech therapy, preferably in a school or pediatric environment
- Experience with Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP) is a plus
Educational Requirements
- Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active state licensure in Connecticut
